Here, no iTunes or Sonic Stage ! Archos let you choose ! The Archos 5 is compatible Mac and PC.

Windows users will be able to use Windows Media Player 11 to manage and synchronize their player. The simply copy/paste is fortunately still possible.

When connecting your tablet, you will have two choices. USB connection or charge the player.

Three modes exist :

 PC Hard Drive (auto-ArcLib, protected content cannot be transfered)
 Mobile device (XP and Vista)
 PC Hard Drive (manual-ArcLib, protected content cannot be transfered)

The first mode is highly recommended for Mac and Linux users. You will need to transfer your files with the copy/paste feature. However, it will be impossible to transfer protected music. You will need to buy your tracks directly from the Archos Content Portal...

The second, it’s very classic. It’s recommended for Windows XP and Vista users. The player is managed by Windows Media Player.

The third mode will force you to manually update the ArcLib each time you delete or add content.
